Why does it feel that these days all we come to school for is to be lectured on stuff NECESSARY for scoring well in the A'Levels? Whatever happened to the joy in learning! Whatever happened to pursuing knowledge because we WANT to. Why's EVERYTHING about exams exams EXAMSSSSSS.

For the benefit of (old) Chwistoe and Mr Chia, here's an update of what has happened so far in the otherwise fine and dandy world of the fourckers:

1) 3 weeks of introductory lecture filled with revision, revision and more revision
2) Orientation! where kky perved on plenty of girls. plenty of pervy guys perved on cara. tracy gwen and wen jia lived through the week as OGLs with the rest of the OG believing we were J2s.

Hey all,

For those who signed up for the CIP I spoke about in class, here are more details! (copied off the council area in KM)

Event: National Youth EnvirOlympics 2008

Date: 14 June

Time: 7 am -5 pm

At any rate, CIP Project is as follows: we've been invited to be facilitators for station games for NYEC 2008.

NYEC is a one-day nationwide youth challenge. More than 1000 secondary school students will be competing in a race around the island, where they will have to complete different station games and challenges. NJC has been invited to send 30 councilors to be facilitators for station games.

NYEC aims to increase the environmental awareness of the general public and inculcate environmental protection ideologies in the youth of today.

We'll get CIP hours and you'll get a Cert of Participation. In addition you'll get to interact and network with other JC students who will also be faciliators at this event.

There will be a briefing (date will be released later) and three dry runs. The tentative dry run dates are 31 May 1 June and 7 June.

So yup, those who signed up, I hope this answers some of your queries cos I felt really bad asking ya'll to sign up for something I wasn't even sure of the details for but anyhoo, this should suffice for now! (:

So, this post is about ME! ME! ME! ME! And how the words "Mr James Han", "NJC", "Mr Eng", "Sam", "Wife" and "Cupcake" should NEVER be typed into Google.

It's just. Mentally disturbing.

I was just surfing some blogs and googleimages. And I came across TWO photos.

One of a certain GS teacher. & the other of a certain MA1102 tutor who taught us last year.

Which I won't post. Because it has his wife in it (In FOUR different poses!). HARHAR. (It's damn cute la! In Chinese traditional costumes! & it took me ages to find a good one because some lousy people cannot take decent photos. Hmm. Maybe they were laughing too vigorously)

So anyway really, I think IP2 has driven us cranky because... *gasp* our class has a new gay couple!!!

And okay so I only managed to get a picture of Gwen e Lamb sleeping which is a considerably rare sight cos' I hardly see her sleeping in class. And you note that sui ping's also sleeping. And so was just about every one else. Haha and I would probably have slept through it all if it wasn't for Divij who kicked my chair at regular intervals, keeping me awake. Man... Look what school is doing to us. O.o Lol.

And this was also taken during lessons where everyone was half dead. See the deadpanned faces. And Janice seems to have taken the opportunity to plant a bottle on Ashwyn's head. Hahaha. Yes we are indeed that tired.

As part of outreach of Sigma Labs, South Zone Science and Technology Centre, NJC Sigma Lab is inviting students to participating in the Sigma Research Attachment Programme.
This is a 2-week full time attachment at Sigma Labs (in NJC) from 4 Jun (Mon) to 15 Jun (Fri) 2007 and is meant for high-ability science students who are interested in life science research.
Students will be working on a simple research topic in groups of 3 under the mentorship of 2 research scientists from A*STAR. The research scientists are attached to Sigma Labs as part of A*STAR's Scientist-in-School Programme. Such experience will give students an edge when they apply for longer research programme when they are in Junior College.We are given 9 spaces for IP1 students who are interested. Students must be free and must be excused from any other school activity for the period of attachment. I came up with a couple of my own ideas for the hoodies. They are still very raw templates of what the actual designs will be. I haven't got the time to beautify them yet cos of all the projects we've got due tomorrow. >:(

But anyway, do take them into considerations as well for the polls. Note that you are to only pass judgment on the words. Not the colour or anything else for that matter.
